Happy Holidays from Deep in the Heart of Texas!

A short while back I was running on Lady Bird Lake and passed a woman wearing a T-Shirt with the words:

God Bless The Whole World -No Exceptions

That phrase has crossed my mind almost every day since then. Now it’s Christmas and whether you celebrate this event, Hannukah, Kwanza, Festivus or WHATEVER…I hope that you are blessed in ways that enrich your life and those around you. Charles Dickens is probably best known for “A Christmas Carol” and I think the following quote from the author sums up the holidays as good any I know:

I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.
